Since 1994, the Appleton, WI, family owned Cherryland has been buying Montmorency “tart” cherries direct from Door County processors. From Appleton, they customize and pack the offerings for distribution around the world.
Cultivated in North America from at least the early 20th century, Montmorency cherries are praised for their various health benefits. A natural anti-inflammatory, compounds are reported to combat arthritis, gout, muscle pain, back pain and diabetes. Antioxidant rich, vitamins A, C and E strengthen the immune system. Also packed with melatonin, adults with sleep disorders benefit by daily doses equal to twenty cherries.

- Dried Cherries, 10lb. Rich in color and intense in flavor, these fruits are great out of hand, as a complement to cheese, garnish on green salad, robust chutney or mostarda... really limitless possibilities.
- Frozen Tart Cherries, no sugar added. This frozen 25 pound bucket of cherries is a year-round consistent fresh cherry alternative. Customers use this product mainly in baking applications like pies and tarts, but could easily be pureed into a velvety piquant sauce. Try these beauties as a cocktail garnish too.
- Tart Cherry Juice, in cases of 12oz or 32oz bottles. This is 100% cherry juice. In addition to a nutritious and healthful drink, chefs use the juice to deglaze, or as an alternative where other vinegar or acidic ingredients are used.
