Mignardise
Mignardise pastries are the latest “Chef’s Best Friend” to pass through our doors. These impeccable, delicious, thaw and serve desserts are wonderful helpers for your next catering event.
The dessert concept of mignardises, which are small, delicate bites as part of a dessert course, were recently named by Saveur Magazine (number 144) as a “Saveur 100”.
Classic Provisions is proud to be carrying six offerings:
- Les Mignardises
- These boxes of miniature desserts come in two sizes.
First, there is the 10 variety box with 72 pieces each. It includes L’Opéra (Opera Cake), L’Ivoire à La Framboise Rouge (White Chocolate Cup with Raspberry and Cream), La Bourdaloue (Almond Cream Tart), Le Paris-Brest (Profiterole with Cream), Tartelette aux fruits (Fruit Tart), La Tartelette Aux Noix (Nut Tart with Almond Cream and Fruit), Le Sablé Crème Truffée (Sablé Cookie with Ganache), La Coupe Caramélisée (Caramel Cup), La Tartelette Citron (Lemon Tart) and Le Praliné-Pistache (Praline-Pistachio Tart).
They are also offered in a 4 variety box with 24 pieces. - Devil’s Bites
- These miniature cakes are offered in both 58 count and 21 count boxes. They are a devilish mix of chocolate and almonds. One chef described them as adult Ho-ho’s minus the cream. And rumor has it, they are even delicious eaten directly from the freezer!!
- Les Macaroons
- Traditional French Macaroons in a 6 variety box containing 72 pieces. Flavors include Raspberry, Chocolate, Coffee, Vanilla, Lemon and Pistachio.
- Caramelized Pear Tart
- 9” rectangle tart. Light and flaky, with pears and caramelized almonds on top. Thaw and serve. Perfect for brunch or on a dessert buffet.
