Uncle Pete's MustardA child of Polish emigrants, Uncle Pete was born in 1875 in Silver Lake Minnesota. He was known for his sense of humor and excellent mustard making skills. As third generation processors, they are proud to bring this 175 year old recipe to you.

Uncle Pete's is a family owned and operated business producing a superior, one of a kind authentic Polish gourmet mustard.

The range of uses is endless and still being discovered. Some suggested uses are: on all meats and sandwiches; stir fried or baked chicken and any type of cold or hot sausage. Uncle Pete's starts out naturally sweet, followed by heat and a smooth, mellow finish.

Uncle Pete's is simply made with mustard flour, apple cider vinegar, sugar, water, garlic/onion juices and other spices.

Uncle Pete's Sesame Salmon

  • 1 salmon fillet (1-1/2 to 2 Pounds)
  • 2 Tbsp cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 Tsp Uncle Pete's Mustard
  • 1/8 to 1/4 Tsp ground ginger
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
  • Purple/red onion - sliced

Place salmon in a shallow dish. Combine vinegar, soy sauce, honey, oil, mustard, and ginger, sugar, onion; pour over salmon. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, turning once. Drain and discard marinade. Broil or grill salmon, covered, over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Yield: 4 servings.
